Tom Collins Walks into a Bar

VodkaSpritzerAde?

Never heard of it, but on a warm summer evening, it’d be tough to turn down. Summer = heat = yummy cocktails.

Here are some off-the-charts, like, I-want-one-NOW recipes to blow your boozy mind.

(It’s okay. Zero judgement zone, right here.)

Strawberry Vodka
Lemonade?

Yep, now we ALL have heard of it!

You’re gonna need:

One cup of strawberries (washed and sliced)

One cup sugar

One cup water

One cup vodka

One cup lemon juice

...and a lemon for garnish!

Directions:

Put the water and sugar in a pot, stir til, it’s boiling and sugar is dissolved.

Add those juicy berries and simmer a few more minutes.

Blend until it’s smooth, and give it a few minutes to cool off.

In a pitcher, mix the vodka, lemon juice and that yummy strawberry mixture and stir it up!

Chill in the fridge and garnish with lemon wheels and berries!

Yum. Alicious.

Stir that yummy concoction and pour right over.

And a couple ounces of club soda for bubbly effect

And garnish! Mint sprig, lemon peel...or both!

(...how many are “normal” again?…)

Okay. Hold on to your Birkenstocks.
This one is a game-changer.

The Manhattan

½ pint heavy cream

¾ oz sweet vermouth

Dash of bitters

I liter cherry soda(chilled)

And maraschino cherries for garnish!

Directions:

In a food processor, mix the ice cream and bourbon

Spread mixture in a large shallow plastic container and freeze until scoopable(20 minutes or so)

Whip the heavy cream with the vermouth, sugar and bitters until soft peaks form.

(I could literally eat that whole bowl with a spoon)

Refrigerate until chilled.

Pour the cherry soda into 4 tall glasses, about ⅔ full.

Scoop the ice cream into each glass and top off with the heavenly whipped cream

yumminess. Garnish with cherries if you haven’t already downed it.
