So, you’ve decided to buy a home! Now the fun can begin!
Almost.
The open-houses and driving (sloooowly) through Heavenly Heights tree-lined neighborhood (that smells like warm bread and hydrangeas) can certainly be the most fun part of the buying-a-home process.
But hold your horses, compadres. Those drives and walk-throughs will be so much more productive and enjoyable if you can actually afford the place, right?
So, before you go imagining your slippers by your bed in someone else’s house, broker up! Find a mortgage broker that has good reviews or comes recommended by people you trust. The good ones take a bunch of the red-tape and endless paperwork away and make the whole process more efficient and less stressful.
They’ll walk you through your credit—the good, bad, and ugly of what you may(or may not) need to do to get your pre-approval. They’ll also help you figure out how much you need for a down payment!
Once you’ve signed all the papers, and you’re pre-approved (hooray!), I can start showing you homes that you love AND can actually afford.
On Perfect Street. In Heavenly Heights!
Because while Margo the Mortgage Lady is getting the banking in order, I’m already beginning to research the homes that will make your heart pitter-patter as you run your hand over that glorious farm sink.
Or gaze at the backyard, with visions of
barbecues, beers, and buddies.
And the sellers? Well, if YOU were selling a home and got an offer from a PRE-approved buyer, wouldn’t that be the bees knees? That’s the buyer you’re hoping for!
So, before you compare, prepare!
And then together we will hit the ground running, walking, or sloooowly driving past your dream home.
(The fun part is literally my job. How lucky am I?)
